Summary
A rich Colorado mine suddenly reveals a vein of pure gold on the boundary between the Elkhorn and the neighboring Henderson property. The discovery creates an immediate dispute over ownership, with Hard Sturdivant eager to control the strike and Clark Henderson facing a looming mortgage deadline on his idle mine. Friends and miners weigh secrecy, honesty, and loyalty while Clark and Steve Conley race to put the Summit back into operation.
