Summary
Set in a frontier region of space, this science fiction story follows a Watcher stationed alone on a small moon, where he monitors radar screens and robot patrols for signs of Rumi raiders. The Rumi are an oxygen-breathing alien race in conflict with humanity over habitable planets, and the Watcher’s duty is to trigger an alarm when their ships appear. As he tracks an approaching squadron, a private Terran craft also enters the area, drawing the attention of an alien cruiser.
