Summary
Brick Davidson and Silent Slade are driving a lumber-wagon on a mountain road when their runaway team collides with a stage-coach blocked by masked robbers. The wreck leaves the stage overturned and reveals a missing iron box from the Whippoorwill mine, while the stage-driver Limpy Squires questions what happened and hints at a woman passenger near the coach. The story centers on the aftermath of the hold-up and the quick-witted exchange among the men involved.
