Summary
In a war-torn future Earth where night streets stay lit and curfews are enforced by the Night Police, editor Kerry Donalson is drawn into a secretive meeting with a young man named Lewis Fallon. The story centers on Earth’s conflict with the Pharigs, the failed attempt to reach the moon, and Kerry’s uneasy suspicion that a dead rocket scientist may still be involved in events shaping the war. As Kerry follows Fallon through a heavily controlled city, the atmosphere of surveillance and hidden communication grows more intense.
