Summary
Robert F. Young’s science fiction story follows Cross, a pilot on the Pandora, who is assigned to transport the Lady Berenice, a famed and beautiful prostitute, to Gomorrah. As the ship prepares for an A Priori run, she asks about the danger of a time storm, and Cross explains that such an event could force both of them to relive their pasts and even one another’s experiences. The setup centers on their tense, intimate passage through space and time, with Cross unsettled by her composure and by the possibility that the journey may reveal more than either expects.
