Summary
W. C. Tuttle’s Western story follows Dobie Dalton through a series of letters to Hank about married life with Emmeline. He complains about their uneasy living arrangement with her uncle Gabriel Galesburg, a sheep owner, and about tensions that arise when he brings Bob Pelkey, a reformed cattle rustler turned poker dealer, to supper. The story centers on Dobie’s quarrels, his drinking, and his struggle to adjust to domestic expectations.
