Summary
Al Fieldston comes to the Sunland Health Colony hoping for peace and time to write, but instead finds himself amid tangled sexual relationships and the expectations of the nudist camp. The story opens on his first morning there, when he wakes to the sight of Joanie Baker, a naked resident who greets him casually and leads him toward breakfast. The setup follows his awkward adjustment to camp life, his naked debut, and his efforts to wake his friend Jack before heading out.
