Summary
Janice is finishing the evening alone in a small Chicago restaurant when a smooth, theatrical-looking customer unsettles her. Another man enters with a gun, robs the cash register, and tries to force her into the kitchen, but the first customer intercepts him, recovers the money and gun, and explains that he had been waiting to stop the holdup. After the danger passes, he jokingly serves her water and speaks with playful confidence as they prepare to close the shop together.
