Summary
James B. Hendryx’s novel follows Connie Morgan and his partner Waseche Bill in the cattle country and the northern frontier around Ten Bow. The story centers on their cabin, their work on the trail, and tensions with outsiders over land and settlement, while Connie also encounters cow towns, bad roads, and armed confrontations. A chapter list suggests episodes involving neighbors, branding, fire, the bad lands, an outlaw, an agency, and the cowboys who help out.
