Summary
Sheriff Joe Cook of Monte Vista is vexed by unsigned warning letters about trouble in town and by a telephone caller who identifies himself as Mr. All Wet. While he tries to track slang and suspects a stranger staying at the Lone Spruce Hotel, Deputy Shorty McKay watches the man and begins piecing together the odd connection between the lightning talk and the warnings.
